School records and responsibilities

Your school decides why pupil, parent and staff records are collected and how they are used. School360 processes these records to provide the school’s workspace. MyImpact AI also uses account, subscription and support information to operate and secure the service. Schools must provide appropriate notices and establish the required authority or consent before uploading children’s records.

Information used

The service may hold pupil names, admission details, dates of birth, classes, guardian contacts, attendance, scores, teacher remarks, fees and receipts, staff accounts, consent records and audit history. We use these to provide school administration and authorised parent access. Account sessions, device records and technical logs help prevent misuse and investigate faults. Do not upload information your school does not need.

Where information goes

The application is hosted on Vercel. Its Neon database is hosted in AWS US East (Ohio), outside Nigeria. Schools must review these arrangements before using real records. Paystack processes School360 subscription payments; School360 stores transaction references and amounts, not full card details. Messaging providers receive phone numbers and message content only after activation. Optional AI features require separate school approval and should stay off until provider arrangements are accepted.

Access, retention and requests

Staff access depends on their role and school. Parents access records linked to their verified account. School owners can export records from Settings. We do not sell school records. Records remain while the school uses the service; cancellation does not automatically erase them. The school and School360 agree a return/deletion timetable when closing an account, subject to necessary accounting, dispute and legal retention. Ask support for the applicable retention and backup arrangements before onboarding.

Parents and pupils should normally ask their school to access or correct education records. You may also contact our privacy support for access, correction, restriction, deletion or consent-withdrawal requests. Identity and authority are checked before information is disclosed or changed. Unresolved privacy complaints may be raised with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Cookies and offline records

Essential cookies keep users signed in. Local browser storage holds saved pages and queued offline work on that device. Use a screen lock, sign out on shared devices, and reconnect before changing users so pending work can sync. Do not clear browser storage while work is waiting to upload.
